Tunisia is located in northern African continent which is affected French culture mostly. The Tunisian Economic Development Program 11st (2007~2011) has modification procedure of metropolitan subway system setup programmes. Rotem got a agreement for supplying 76 cars in 2007 and scheduled operation in 2011 locally.
Hongseong Industrial Company has supplied a lightweight honeycomb panel for ceilings in this 76 cars of Tunisian railway motor cars with satisfaction of requirements of SNCFT (Tunisia national railway company), an enforcement body of this program.
Simple ceiling design including diffuser module system come true by lightweight honeycomb panels manufactured by Hongseong Industrial company. Two skins of aluminum and an aluminum honeycomb core with Hivetecks honeycomb panels can supply even in over 1,500mm width of the ceiling panel. It is unique wide dimension of such industries, and also can supply 7 meters, even in 10 meters of length of the panel. It saves lightweight of the train and sub-accessory requirements.
Hongseong has also supplied similar products to Tunisian Ro-Pax ferry "Cotunav" semi-cruise ship which is scheduled to operate between Tunisia and Italy as passenger cruise carrier. Hongseong's product is well applied in both train and ship industry in Tunisia.
