Gwanggaeto Daewang destroyer (DDH-971)
The Gwanggaeto the Great Class(DDH-971) destroyers were built by Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering (DSME). KDX-I has an overall length of 135.5m, beam of 14.2m and a draft of 4.2m. The full load displacement of the ship is 3885 to 3900 tons.
The average life cycle of naval vessel is up to 30 years. In 2020, DDH-971 has operated for 25 years and the project to extend the lifesapn was carried out. The KDX-I performance improvement project was to improve the performance of the aging combat system and sensors of the Korean destroyer.
Through the project, it has been able to reduce the operational crew, and has secured an additional operating capacity of 10 years.

For the installation of floor panel in CIC(Combat Information Center) room, lightweight and anti-static feature were the vital elements.
