Weather Shelter by Aluminum structure
DONG E&P, Denmark-based petroleum and natural gas producer, and Bayerngas, was awarded by a contract for the HEJRE project development to Dawoo shipyard, Korea with France-based engineering service firm Technip. This jacket will install at a water depth of 70 meters in the central part of the North Sea.
Based on NORSOK standard, DSME shipyard has been doing design and manufacturing of this topside of the structure and will deliver April on 2016.
Under the severe environment of North Sea, all top side equipment are controlled by severe Norsok rule as usual, same of this Weather Shelter structure. All aluminum based shelter was made by 5000 and 6000 series aluminum body structure and bolting connection with after load calculations. Top side requires lightweight concept, aluminum was the best choice for this application.
Nearly all explosion-proof machine facility are contained in metal enclosures, which are susceptible to corrosion. The entire housing is constructed from the company’s proprietary aluminum material. Wall and pipes thickness are varied to suit the application and its operating environment.
The structure is that Hongseong uses for its weather-proof analyser shelters. It fully complies with the anti-static requirements of the Norsok safety standards for equipment intended for use in explosive atmospheres.
As a custom metal product of Hongseong Industrial, weather shelter construction material for equipment shelters, it is impervious to corrosion from most commonly-encountered atmospheric contaminants.
