Horim museum is located on Dosandaero, south area of Seoul which designed by Taeje Architectects Inc. has a various fascination factors in this buildings. Experimental of various virgin materials from all over the world and also domestic.
Covering of this museum is honeycomb panels manufactured by Hongseong Industrial company by its state-of-art process of international patented facilities. 6mm thickness of honeycomb panels colored anodizing surfaced with light-bronze color, which can be changed its gothic colors in the length of time.
Architect tried to find the point of anodizing characteristics, somewhat he has worried about lot differences on the surface matters. Continuous manufacturing process makes his worry to be satisfaction when finished.
Moreover, pearl inlayed honeycomb panel was added on the buildings, usually adopted in furniture. Such kinds of experimental idea and courage makes this building dominated famous Korean Architectural Awards in 2009.
